Starbound How to Get More Seeds: How to Build and Maintain a Sprinkler System

There are two types of underwater crops, Reefpods and Coralcreep. Reefpods need to be replanted upon harvesting, while Coralcreep do not, but both of these seeds are only found in the wild in the waters of Ocean-type planets (but not Arctic). These are also the only crops that do not benefit from a sprinkler. Toxictop is the only other type of crop found on Ocean-type planet (the Toxic biome), but it is found on the surface and it is not an underwater crop.

Players may optimize their underwater farming by using a Swimming Augment, otherwise harvesting and sowing crops will take much more time and patience. It is most easily purchased from Lana Blake at the Outpost.

Destroying a crop that is not yet fully grown will return the crop's seed. Harvesting a fully-grown crop will drop 1 (60% chance) or 2 (40% chance) of the following: the crop's "fruit" (89% chance), 1 Plant Fibre (10% chance), and the crop's seed (1% chance). Certain crops (e.g. carrots, potatoes, wheat, etc.) will also be destroyed in the harvesting process, dropping their seeds for replanting, but other crops will revert back to stage 2.

Flowery Grass Seeds and Grass Seeds can also be planted on wet tilled soil to grow grass, but they cannot be harvested, only destroyed. Some wild plants cannot produce seeds, such as Thorny Plant and its Thorny Fruit crop, but most food or resource-producing plants can have seeds harvested from encounters with wild specimens. Flowers which yield petals are another example of a plant which gives off no seed.

Crops that can be eaten "raw" (like Carrots, Pineapples, Corn, Tomatoes, Boneboo, etc.), may only store a single item per inventory slot, which rarely exceeds a pixel value of 100 or more. These crops will slowly go bad over time in the player's inventory and normal storage devices, eventually becoming inedible and useless Rotten Food. Storing these items in Refrigerated Storage objects halts this process indefinitely.

Inedible "ingredient" crops (like Rice, Wheat, Cocoa Pod, Sugar, Kelp, Mushroom, etc.) will stack in the inventory, meaning that one inventory slot will hold up to a count of 1,000 of these items. At maximum capacity, a single block in the inventory may have an indicated Pixel value of 50,000 or more. These crops have an infinite longevity and do not suffer from rotting, but cannot be consumed by themselves. Instead they must be prepared either by cooking them at a Campfire or similar object, or by combining them with other foodstuffs at a meal prep station like the Kitchen Counter or Chic Cooking Table.

There are differences between each crop type in replanting, too. Some crops (like Rice, Cocoa Pod, Cotton, Banana, Boneboo, etc.) may be harvested without requiring replanting. The majority of crops, though, (like Wheat, Potato, Carrot, Sugar, Pineapple, etc.) will destroy the plant on harvest, rendering one seed (small chance of more than one) and either one or multiple crops.

Preparing food in any way, though, increases its value, which makes this a more advantageous area of interest. If using the products to craft food (and thus increasing their value), a more effective farm is one with 1 Boneboo Seed, 2 Feathercrown Seed, 2 Oculemon Seed, 2 Neonmelon Seed and 2 Toxictop Seed. Using these materials you can produce the Ultimate Juice which costs 1,200. This means that of the ingredients has a medium cost of 240. Producing 2 every 40 minutes means that each seed is worth 12 per minute.

The list of blocks on which crop can be grown is smaller than the list of blocks on which saplings can be placed - this is because not all soils can be tilled into farmland in which crop seeds can be planted. The following blocks can all be tilled into farmland suitable for growing crops:

Seeds are plantable items that are found in chests or harvested from fully-grown food plants. They are used to grow food from a specific plant. By using a stone hoe on a dirt block, it will make farm tiles, that are used to grow the specific seed. Different kinds of seeds need more or less space than the others, and take time to grow, depending if the player is close or not (The player has to be in the seeds sight in order for it to grow fast). The seeds have 3 levels of growth, showing when they can be harvested.

Ancient Seeds can also be obtained from Ancient Fruit by using a Seed Maker. Whenever the Seed Maker is used with any crop other than Ancient Fruit, there is a 0.5% chance to obtain one packet of Ancient Seeds instead of the crop's seeds.

Genes is a currency that represents "general knowledge of how the living creatures work". It's primarily used to craft plant seeds in the Greenhouse (or its upgrades), to breed weird animals like Psilamander, and also to craft bioengineered weapons/armor (e.g. Fungal Gun).

Some plants yield significantly more seeds than others. Pick the plants that are fast-growing and yield many seeds, such as Algae, non-petal flowers like White Flower, etc. Vanilla perennial plants (such as Corn) yield very little seeds.

Crops can also be cultivated in Growing Trays and Hydroponics Trays. These stations have 3 slots that accept seeds, liquid and an optional slot for fertilizer. By default, 3 seeds is required to begin cultivation, with every stage of growth consuming liquid and fertilizer(if added).

I got 2 seeds and waiting them to grow after watering each stage takes a lot of time, which makes a bad choice. What can I do to gather all the required cotton to make the teddy bear?

Toasted Seeds are made by cooking Seeds over a Campfire, Fire Pit or Star. Unlike their raw counterpart, they restore 1 point of Health and cannot be planted or fed to birds. They also spoil four times faster than uncooked seeds.

Using a custom seed allows you to customize the generation of your world. You can get a seed from a friend or you get a seed online from forums like MinecraftForum.net and other websites for sharing world seeds.

Space combat, introduced as part of the 1.3 update, is generally more enjoyable. Players can choose to investigate anomalies while flitting through solar systems, dumping their customisable mech out into zero-gravity and dodging Space Invader-y aliens and swarms of living rock blobs. At their most intense, these sessions make Starbound like a quasi-bullet hell shooter, both more manic and more predictable than its standard ground-based combat. The weapons are snazzier too, a combination of laser cannons, power drills, and mecha swords, meaning that I would seek out space-based fights way more often than other kinds of combat.

Take Terraria and give it a more Science Fiction based focus with space travel and you have Starbound. Or as some like to say Terraria IN SPACE! It is developed by Chucklefish, an indie game company started by Finn "Tiy" Brice of Terraria fame along with several new faces.

Spelunking EPP - Lets you combine the Xenon Pack with the Cooling EPP pack so you get a light with your EPP pack without having to waste an augment slot. The EPP packs used to be buff, and not itemized. Now that its itemized, it competes with other things players want, like a lighting pack, and just makes exploration more tedious than ever. Again, another completely stupid idea by chucklefish.

More seeds, no fibre farming - You got way better odds to get extra seeds from harvesting crops. The odds without this mod are next to 0% of getting extra seeds by harvesting crops. You were required to find new plants on new planets before. Which was completely stupid and unrealistic for someone who wanted to make a massive farm or something.

Like in vanilla it's possible to brew a random potion by combining 3 seeds. Each seed has a corresponding potion and using it for increases the chance for getting that specific potion. If all 3 seeds used are the same, the pot will always produce corresponding potion and that potion is automatically identified.

Spells are crafted by combining various consumables with an arcane catalyst or a cursed shard and an effect characters, items or environment. Individual spells usually aren't that powerful, but each recipe produces more than one.

When it comes to Stardew Valley forage items, they don't get much more mundane than the humble Leek. Most players will collect a Leek within their first few days on the farm, but the wild vegetable is more useful than it may seem.

Updated June 29th, 2022 by Russ Boswell: Players are still flocking to Stardew Valley, even though ConcernedApe is hard at work attempting to bring The Haunted Chocolatier to a dedicated fanbase. With so much content to explore and a serious modding community, it's no wonder players are still finding joy in the Indie game well after its initial release. Even now, there are new players just starting their adventure for the first time. Some of these players will want to get their hands on Leeks early, to help expand their farm offerings and finish some of the odd quests in Stardew. To better help players understand how to find Leeks in Stardew Valley and what they're for, the following list has been updated with more information. 2ff7e9595c
