The 1.85 mm connectors are used with many of the 86100 series plug-in modules and remote heads. The following topics will show you how to properly connect, disconnect, and maintain 1.85 mm adapter/connectors.

Failure to follow the guidelines for proper connector handling and avoiding electrostatic discharge (ESD) can result in severe damage to the product. In some cases, the 1.85 mm connector is an integral part of the electrical sampler device. Therefore, by using improper cleaning and handling techniques, you risk expensive instrument repairs.
An Keysight 1.85 mm connector that is connected properly and well maintained should last for many years and many hundreds of connections. The best techniques for maintaining the integrity of your Keysight 1.85mm connector include routine visual inspection, cleaning, and proper connection techniques. If you fail to detect and remove dirt or metallic particles on a mating plane surface, you run the risk of degrading repeatability and accuracy. You also risk damage to any connector mated to it. Improper connections, resulting from pin depth values being out of the typical limits or from poor connection techniques, can also damage these devices. You should inspect the connector every time a connection is made. A connection made with a dirty or damaged connector can damage both connectors beyond repair. Magnification may be required to see damage on a connector. This is especially true with female connectors. Use a microscope with a magnification of 10x to inspect the connector mating surfaces. Also, you must use good lightning to see potential damage on a connector. For example, the contact fingers on slotted connectors may become bent or broken.
Pin depth is an important mechanical parameter. The electrical performance of your device under test has some dependency on its pin depth. Pin depth is defined as the distance between the center conductor mating plane and the outer conductor mating plane. The pin depth of a connector can be either protruding or recessed. With protrusion, the center conductor extends beyond the outer conductor mating plane. If measured with a connector gauge, the depth is a positive value. With recession, the center conductor is set back from the outer conductor mating plane. The center conductor will measure a negative value on a connector gauge. It is important to ensure proper pin depth prior to attaching your device under test to the 1.85 mm connector. Improper pin depth could potentially damage the connector. The 1.85 mm connector specification allows a pin depth between 0 and 0.05 mm (0.002 inch) maximum recession.
You will need to use two wrenches to make the final connection between the 1.85 mm connector and your device under test: an open-end wrench and a torque wrench. Use the open-end wrench to keep the body of the device from turning. Use the supplied torque wrench to make the final connection. Torque 1.85 mm connectors to 56 N-cm (5 in-lb.).
This torque setting is less than the 8 in-lb typically specified for 1.85 mm connectors. The 5 in-lb torque setting is required to avoid damage to sensitive microcircuits used in the 86100 series plug-in modules and remote heads. Use Keysight torque wrench part number 8710-1582.
Dr. Gordon Sarty, University of Saskatchewan, Canada, has requested our assistance in "obtaining BVRI photometry (or any subset thereof) of four (4) High Mass X-ray Binaries (HMXBs) for the months of April and May 2007. Dr. Sarty will acquiring spectroscopy of the four HMXBs, for the purpose of measuring their radial velocities, with the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory (DAO) 1.85-m Plaskett telescope, in Victoria, BC, Canada, from April 24 to May 2. The object is to determine the orbital periods of the HMXBs. Optical photometry will also reveal other periods and variation due to mass transfer, pulsations, and other effects. The availability of photometry will be very valuable for interpreting the spectroscopic data.
Thermokeratoplasty (TKP) is a new procedure for surgical correction of hyperopia. It uses controlled thermal burns of the peripheral cornea with a retractable cautery probe tip in a radial pattern up to a premarked optical central zone. The thermal effect shrinks the peripheral cornea and steepens the central cornea. In this report, we prospectively evaluated for one year, anatomical, functional and refractive results of a group of 18 eyes treated with TKP (14 patients). Mean preoperative spherical equivalent of +3.62 diopters (D) was +1.85 D at 12 months resulting in a mean refractive variation of -1.76 D. The refractive effect was significant at the first postoperative month, and subsequently regressed so that the average refractive correction was 55% at one year. We did not observe any severe anatomical or functional complications during the follow up period. Regression of the refractive effect after TKP seems to be related to the remodeling response of corneal stroma surrounding points of coagulation. Like other current techniques of surgical correction of hyperopia (hexagonal keratotomy, TKP using Holmium-YAG laser, Excimer laser), TKP is a procedure for which optical results at one year show poor predictability and stability. We suggest that adjustments to the surgical prediction software and long term studies would allow to improve our results.
Zhao Lijian: China always believes that vaccines, as powerful weapons against the pandemic, should be made a global public good, to benefit as many people as possible all over the world. We are living up to our word. China has provided over 1.85 billion doses of vaccines to over 120 countries and international organizations, more than any other country in the world. Chinese vaccines have played an important role in helping fight COVID-19 in many countries and have been widely welcomed and highly recognized.
The first thing I noticed when watching the movie was the aspect ratio change. For the scenes taking place in the 1980s the aspect ratio is 1.85:1 and this is how the movie begins. Then we move back in time to the 1960s and the aspect ratio changes to 2.40:1. The central story that took place in the 1930s is shown in 1.3:1 ratio. Each period of time is presented using the ratio that could have been used in a movie at the time.
We currently have an issue with S2S VPN between Palo and WatchGuard Fws. VPN is up (at least from Palo site). Traffic is initiated from the WatchGuard side (10.10.1.85 src ip) going to the dst ip 10.81.224.11 and visible from our side. From the VPN flow we can see that PA is doing decap bytes but not encap. WatchGuard side also can see that they are sending traffic but 0 bytes received back. I have checked policies and FIB lookup and all look good. But we must missing something.
When l was checking the logs l could see that the traffic was arriving on the correct tunnel.37 interface and going out the eth 1/5 interface. from the PCAPs from the PA FW l can see both ping request(10.10.1.85)/reply(10.81.224.11) as well as allow logs for this particular session:
